Buying Guide: How to Choose the Best RGB Wall Panels
Keep these factors in mind when shopping for the best rgb wall panels.
Planning a panel layout
Sketch your layout on paper or in the app first, and use painter’s tape to mark the wall. Place the controller near an outlet and keep panels within the power limit for one supply.
RGB vs. RGBIC
Basic RGB strips show one color at a time along the whole strip. RGBIC strips have independent chips, so different segments can show different colors at once for flowing rainbow and gradient effects.
Hexagon vs. triangle vs. 3D
Hexagons create honeycomb shapes, triangles allow sharper geometric designs, and 3D panels add depth with more LEDs.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Matter
Bluetooth-only lights work from nearby phones. Wi-Fi lights add voice control and schedules. Matter support lets lights work across Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa.
Panel Layout Tips
Better designs:
- Use the app layout tool.
- Start symmetrical.
- Keep the controller reachable.
- Do not exceed one power supply’s limit.
