How We Chose the Best Gaming Chair Armrest Pads
To choose the best gaming chair armrest pads, we compared armrest pads on foam thickness, cooling, fit and grip, then checked owner feedback about slipping and flattening.

Buying Guide: How to Choose the Best Gaming Chair Armrest Pads
Keep these factors in mind when shopping for the best gaming chair armrest pads.
Armrest height and your desk
Your elbows should rest at roughly desk height with relaxed shoulders. Thick pads raise the armrest, so lower the armrests if they push your shoulders up.
Measure your armrests
Measure the length and width of the armrest top. Pads and covers list a size range; too small and they slip, too big and they bunch.
Padding vs. covers
Pads add cushioning and height. Covers only protect and refresh the surface, which is ideal for peeling PU leather armrests.
Thickness and firmness
Thicker 1.3-inch pads cushion more but raise your arms. Medium-firm memory foam keeps support without flattening.
Armrest Comfort Tips
Make armrests work for you:
- Lower armrests after adding pads.
- Keep shoulders relaxed, not shrugged.
- Rest forearms, not just elbows.
- Clean pads with a damp cloth.
